The safari starts and ends in Kampala, the safari includes both gorilla and chimpanzee trekking in Bwindi impenetrable National Park and in Kibale National Park. The other destinations to be visited include; Murchison falls national Park, Queen Elizabeth National park as well as Zziwa Rhino sanctuary.
Day 1: Drive to Murchison falls National Park

Day 1: Drive to Murchison falls National Park
The guide will be at your hotel in time to pick you up so that you start your journey to Murchison falls national park, have a stopover at Zziwa Rhino sanctuary to track Rhinos. have lunch here and proceed with your drive to the park. Visit the top of the falls and then proceed to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Paara Safari Lodge(Luxury)/Pakuba safari Lodge(Mid-range)/Heritage safari Lodge(budget)- meal Plan: Full board
Day 2: Morning game drive & Afternoon boat cruise
Have breakfast and then proceed for a morning game drive where you are to view many animal’s species including; the kobs, antelopes, elephants, water bucks, lions, warthogs, and many bird species. Return to the lodge for your lunch and then proceed for an afternoon boat cruise on River Nile where you are to see many water animals including; crocodiles, Hippos, buffaloes, water birds and many more. Dinner and overnight at Paara Safari Lodge(Luxury)/Pakuba safari Lodge(Mid-range)/Heritage safari Lodge(budget)- meal Plan: Full board
Day 3: Transfer to kibale National Park
Have breakfast at the lodge and then start your drive to Kibale National Park, this is a long journey and you will have your lunch as you travel. enjoy great scenic views as you travel to the park. Upon your arrival at the park, check in to the lodge and have dinner at Ndali safari Lodge(luxury)/Primate lodge(mid-range)/kibale Forest Camp(budget)- Meal Plan: Full board
Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking & a visit to Bigodi wetland swamp
Early in the morning, assemble at Kanyanchu Centre for your briefing on chimpanzee tracking. Expect to meet many other primates like the black and white colobus, vervet, red tailed monkeys and many bird species including the rare shoebill stork. Have lunch at the lodge and then proceed to Bigodi wetland to see variety of bird and primate species along the walk. Visit the local healer and get to know About the culture of the Batoro and Bakiga. Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable National Park
Have breakfast and then start your drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, famous for the endangered mountain gorillas. Upon you’re the arrival at park, check in to the lodge and then relax for the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Lodge(Luxury)/Silverback lodge (mid-range)/Buhoma Community Rest camp(budget). Meal Plan: Full board
Day 6: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi & community walk
Have breakfast at the lodge, your guide drives you to the park headquarters where you are to receive briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. After, the game rangers will escort to start your search for the mountain gorillas, along the way, you are to meet a lot of vegetation cover including; lowland and Montane vegetation zones. There are many other animal species that you are to view including; chimpanzees, antelopes, elephants, as well as birds. With the help of rangers, you will search these endangered species by following different routes, once you find them, you are given one hour to interact with them however with in a distance of eight meters from them. You are free to take photos of them but with no flash in the camera. After, the rangers escort you back to the lodge to have your lunch.
After lunch, proceed for a community walk to explore the nearby communities and get to interact with them. You get a chance of buying some souvenirs from the local shops managed by the local people from the community. After, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight at Buhoma Lodge (luxury)/ Silverback Lodge(mid-range)/Buhoma Community Rest Camp(Budget)- Meal Plan: Full Board.
Day 7: Departure
Have breakfast and then transfer back to Kampala having a stopover at Igongo Cultural museum to view the life styles of the Banyankole people. Have lunch here and then proceed to Kampala arriving late afternoon, the guide will either drop you at your hotel or at the Airport to catch your departure flight.
