Day 1:
Arrival in Entebbe, Mabamba Swamp visit
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport with a morning flight where you will be met by a Discover Virunga Ltd representative and transferred to your accommodation for the night. Once you have settled in, you will visit Mabamba Swamp where most of the birding is done by boat. You will be able to see various species of birds including the rare Shoebill Stork.

Day 2:
Drive to Murchison Falls, Visit Ziwa Rhino Sactuary
After breakfast, you will start your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. You will visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where your will have a walk to the Sourthern White Rhinos. You will also be able to see a number of bird species. Later proceed to the park for an overnight.

Day 3:
Game drive, Afternoon boat ride to the bottom of the falls, hike to the top of the falls.
You will spend the day birding in Murchison Falls National parK. After an early morning breakfast, you will go for a game drive where you will see a variety of bird species some of which include Secretary bird, Bat Hawk, Red-necked Falcon, White-crested Turaco, Egyptian Plover, Bruce’s Pigeon, Pel’s Fish-owl, Standard-winged, Pennant-winged and Long-tailed Nightjar, Carmine Bee-eater, Brown-backed Woodpecker, African Black Scimitarbill, Brown-backed Woodpecker, Spotted Morning thrush, Silverbird. Later in the afternoon, you have a boat ride to the bottom of the falls and hike to the top of the falls.

Day 4: Drive to the Royal Mile for Birding
You will start the day with an early morning breakfast and thereafter, drive to the Royal Mile for Birding. The place is home to quite a number of birdspecies like White-thighed and Black-and-white-casqued Hornbills, Yellow-spotted and Yellow billed Barbets, Western Black-headed Oriole. As we walk quietly along the trail, you will come across Red-tailed Ant-Thrushes skulk in the shadows, Red-tailed Bristlebill, Scaly-breasted, Pale-breasted and Brown Illadopsis. Later proceed to your accommodation for an overnight.

Day 5:
Drive to Kibale Forest National Park
Drive to Kibale Forest National Pak. You will passby tea plantations and beautiful landscapes along the way. Later in the afternoon, you will go for a nature walk in Bigodi Swamp. you will watch out for different bird species such as the; Scaly Francolin, Marsh Tchagra, Black-bellied Seedcracker, Green-backed Twinspot, Bicoloured Mannikin, White-naped Pigeon, Afep Pigeon, Narina’s Trogon, Joyful Greenbul, Olive Long-tailed Cuckoo, Black Bee-eater, Blue-headed Coucal, Blue-breasted Kingfisher, Scaly-throated Honeyguide, Roufous Flycatcher Thrush and Black-faced Rufous Warbler

Day 6:
Morning Birding, afternoon Chimpanzee trekking.
Today you will enjoy bird watching in Kibale Forest National Park. Kibale National Park contains one of the loveliest and most varied tracts of tropical forest in Uganda. It contains over 375 species of birds. These include the African Pitta, Green-breasted Pitta, Afep Pigeon, White-naped Pigeon, Crowned Eagle, Red-chested Owlet, Black Bee-eater, Western Nicator, Yellow-rumped Tinkerbird, Little Greenbul, Brown-chested Alethe, Blue-breasted Kingfisher, African Grey Parrot. Later in the afternoon, you will go for Chimpanzee trekking.

Day 7:
Drive to Semliki National Park
Wake up to a morning breakfast and thereafter start your Journey to Semilki National Park. The Park covers an offshoot of the Ituri rain forest. The forest hosts a number of typical bird species that are unique to Uganda. Species to look out for are Nkulengu Rail, Yellow-throated Cuckoo, Piping Hornbill, Red-billed Dwarf Hornbill, Black Dwarf Hornbill, White-crested Hornbill, Black-casqued Wattled Horbill, Red-rumped Tinkerbird, African Piculet, White-throated Blue Swallow etc… You will proceed to Semliki Wildlife Reserve for an overnight and have the evening at leisure.

Day 8:
Full day Bird watching
Today you will have a full day of bird watching in Semliki Wildlife Reserve during a morning Nature walk and an afternoon game drive coupled with a Sundowner.

Day 9:
Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park that was named after her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. You may choose to go for another birding experience in Semliki National Park or proceed to Queen Elizabeth for an overnight. You will have an evening game drive in the park.

Day 10:
Full day bird watching, Boat ride on Kazinga Channel
Today you will have game drives the entire day while bird watching along the Mweya peninsular, watch out for the Grey-headed Kingfisher, African broadbill, black bee-eater, Verreaux’s eagle owl, Swamp Flycatcher, Black-headed Gonolek, Grey-capped Warbler, Slender-billed Weaver and Brimstone Canary. Later in the afternoon, you will have a boat ride on Kazinga Channel which is also a haven of birds. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge

Day 11:
Full day bird watching
During the drive on the famous Kasenyi track, winding through grassland dotted with trees and nearby crater lakes along the road you may find Scaly Francolin, Red-necked Spurfowl, several plovers, Harlequin Quail and Common Button-quail. Larks are numerous and include Rufous-naped, Flappet and the local White-tailed. Raptors include Martial Eagle, Banded Snake Eagles and Bateleur. Later in the afternoon, you will visit a local community and you will be abler to learn about their ways of living.

Day 12:
Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National park which is the home to the famous Mountain Gorillas while bird watching along the way. You will have a game drive in Ishasha which is the Souther sector is Queen Elizabeth National Park in search of tree climbing Lions. Proceed to Bwindi for an overnight.

Day 13:
Gorilla Trekking
Full day Gorilla trekking. You will also be able to spot a number of birds during the trekking.

Day 14:
Bird watching in the Neck
Today you will enjoy bird watching in the neck with about 350 recorded different species, of which 23 are endemics like the Blue-headed Sunbird plus the Short-tailed Warbler in addition to 7 IUCN red data listed bird species. Simple to spot are the Red-headed Bluebill, African Emerald Cuckoo, African Blue plus White-tailed Blue Flycatchers and the Common Bulbul.

Day 15:
Drive to Lake Mburo National Park
Drive to Lake Mburo National National. ThIs will be a drive with limited birding opportunities. Once you have settled in, you will go for a game drive. 313 bird species recorded in the park, including flame head Barbet, Long-tailed Zitting Cisticola (Tabora), African Bins Rail, Collared Barbet, binding Bush singer

Day 16:
Drive back to Entebbe and depart.
Have a morning Nature walk and thereafter start your journey back to Entebbe. You will stop by the equator an take some photos and buy a few souvenirs. Proceed to Entebbe to arrive in time for your evening departure flight.
