Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
Upon your arrival at the Airport, your guide will be there to welcome you and will brief you about your whole safari, in case your arrival in morning hours, you will have a city tour of Kampala city where you are to see many attractions including; Bahai temple, Kasubi tombs, Nakasero fruit market and many more. After, the guide will drive you to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Serena Hotel(Luxury)/Hotel Africana (Mid-range)/ Kampala Forest Cottages(Budget)- Meal Plan: Half Board
Day 2: Drive to Jinja and visit the source of the Nile
Have breakfast at the Hotel and then drive to Jinja town located on the shores of Lake Victoria, it’s one of the most exciting and safest place in the world, it has got many activities including; quad biking, boat cruises, mountain biking, white water rafting and a visit to the source of the Nile. Dinner and overnight at Jinja Resort Hotel(luxury)/ The Haven/Nile Resort Hotel. Meal Plan: Half Board
Day 3: Transfer to Mt Elgon National Park
Have breakfast at the hotel and then proceed to Mbale Via Tirinyi Road. Continue to Mt Elgon National Park and trek through the Sipi falls, branded by great falls along River Sipi, following down the mount Elgon. This area is great with scenic views of the Karamoja valley. Make sure that you have packed lunch with you from the Hotel. This activity takes you through the daily lives of typical African village. Have dinner and overnight at Sipi Lacam Lodge/ Sipi falls rest camp. Meal plan: Full board
Day 4: Mt Elgon – Kidepo National Park
Have breakfast at the Lodge and then proceed Northwards with your packed lunch via Kitgum to one of the most un spoilt wild places remaining in Africa. It’s a long journey and it will take you through the dirt roads of Karamoja. Dinner and overnight at Apoka safari Lodge(Luxury)/Kidepo Savannah Lodge(Midrange)/ UWA bandas(budget). Meal Plan: Full board
Day 5: Explore Kidepo National park
Wake up so early in the morning and have breakfast before proceeding for a game drive along the trails of the National Park to catch up with the early risers and predators that are returning to their hide outs. Explore the region of the Narus Valley and localized carnivores like the bat eared fox, cheetah, striped hyena, aardwolf, spotted hyena, as well as striped jackals. The other animals include; the Ungulates that include; greater and lesser Kudu, mountain reedbuck, klipspringer, elephants, zebras; bushpigs, warthog, the Rothschild’s giraffe, eland, bushbuck, waterbuck and many more. You will as well see many bird species and later retire at the lodge as above.
Day 6: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park
Have breakfast in the morning and start your drive to Murchison falls national Park, this national park is t largest of all the national parks in the country with lots of animals including; buffaloes, elephants, waterbucks, lions, leopards, birds and many more. Upon your arrival at the park, relax in the evening as you wait for dinner and an overnight at Paara Safari Lodge(Luxury)/Pakuba safari Lodge(mid-range)/ Heritage safari Lodge(budget). Meal plan: Full board.
Day 7: Explore Murchison falls National Park
Have breakfast in the morning and then proceed for a morning game drive in the park to view many animal species including; giraffes, lions, waterbucks, oribis, bushbucks, spotted hyenas, leopards. Return to the lodge for lunch as you prepare for a boat cruise on River Nile to view many water birds including; crocodiles, hippos, water birds as well as buffaloes. Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 8: Drive to Kibale National Park
Have breakfast and then drive through Lake Albert and The Rift valley escarpment, with great breathtaking panoramic sceneries enroute to Fort portal; the capital town of Tooro Kingdom that lies on the shadow of Rwenzori Mountains. Relax at Ndali safari Lodge(Luxury)/Primate Lodge(Midrange)/Kibale Forest Camp(Budget). Meal Plan: Full Board
Day 9: Chimpanzee trekking & Bird watching
Early in the morning, assemble at Kanyanchu Centre for your briefing on chimpanzee tracking. Expect to meet many other primates like the black and white colobus, vervet, red tailed monkeys and many bird species including the rare shoebill stork. Have lunch at the lodge and then proceed to Bigodi wetland to see variety of bird and primate species along the walk. Visit the local healer and get to know About the culture of the Batoro and Bakiga. Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 10: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have breakfast and the start your drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park with lots of game viewing as you travel. You also expect to find many early risers and predators returning to the hideouts. Get to the lodge for your lunch and then proceed for a boat cruise on Kazinga channel where you will see many water animals including; hippos, Nile crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants and many water birds. Dinner and overnight at Mweya safari Lodge(Luxury)/Enganzi Lodge(midrange)/ Bush Lodge(Budget). Meal Plan: Full board
Day 11: Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today you will have an extra ordinary game drive where you are to see many wild animals including; antelopes, lions, elephants, monkeys, kobs, birds and many more. Retrun to the lodge for lunch and then proceed to Ishasha sector to see the tree climbing lions that are found with in the park. Dinner and overnight as above
Day 12: Explore Kyambura Gorge- Bwindi impenetrable national Park
Have breakfast and the drive to Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee trekking. Expect many other primates like the vervet colobus and red tailed monkeys, Galago as well as Mangabeys with many world population of the endangered mountain gorillas. You arrive by evening for dinner and overnight at Buhoma Lodge(luxury)/Silverback Lodge(mid-range)/ Buhoma community Rest Camp. Meal Plan: Full board
Day 13: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest
Have breakfast at the lodge, your guide drives you to the park headquarters where you are to receive briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. After, the game rangers will escort to start your search for the mountain gorillas, along the way, you are to meet a lot of vegetation cover including; lowland and Montane vegetation zones. There are many other animal species that you are to view including; chimpanzees, antelopes, elephants, as well as birds. With the help of rangers, you will search these endangered species by following different routes, once you find them, you are given one hour to interact with them however with in a distance of eight meters from them. You are free to take photos of them but with no flash in the camera. After, the rangers escort you back to the lodge to have your lunch.
After lunch, proceed for a community walk to explore the nearby communities and get to interact with them. You get a chance of buying some souvenirs from the local shops managed by the local people from the community. After, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight at Buhoma Lodge (luxury)/ Silverback Lodge(mid-range)/Buhoma Community Rest Camp(Budget)- Meal Plan: Full Board.
Day 14: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Have breakfast and then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi as you enjoy great sceneries enroute. Enjoy one of the greatest lake and its many islands, Upon Arrival, have lunch and then proceed for a canoe Ride where you are able to explore the many islands that are found on this beautiful lake. There are also the forested green Islands on the lake harboring many bird species. Dinner and overnight at Bird Nest/ Arcadia Cottages Bunyonyi/ Bunyonyi Overland Camp. Meal Plan: Full Board
Day 15: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park
Have breakfast and then drive through Kabale in Kigezi region. Visit the Bakiga cultural museum and then connect to Lake Mburo National Park. Have an evening game drive to see many animals including; the impalas, kobs, elephants, topis, elands, antelopes, buffaloes, as well as zebras. You will have dinner and overnight at Mburo safari Lodge(Luxury)/Arcadia cottages Mburo(midrange)/Rwonyo camps(budget). Meal Plan: Full board
Day 16: Have a boat cruise of Lake Mburo and drive to Kampala
Have breakfast and then proceed for a boat trip on Lake Mburo, where you are to see many animal species including; hippos, crocodiles, as well as rare shoebill. Later on after lunch, you proceed to Kampala with a stopover at the equator for some photos and buying of some souvenirs. Dinner and overnight at your reserved Hotel.
Day 17: Departure
Have breakfast and the guide will be at the lodge to drive you to the Airport to catch your flight back home.
