Day 1  – Arrive at Kigali Airport

On arrival at Kigali Airport, you will meet and greet by your Discover Virunga Ltd Guide who will transfer you from thwe aiport to the hotel in Kigali

Day 2 – Transfer from Kigali to Volcanoes National park

Have breakfast at leaisure and then your guide will transfer from Kigali with a short visit to the Genocide Museum for about 1 hour, and then your guide will transfer you to the volcanoes national park where you will have lunch at the lodge, and then in the evening at leisure we go to the gorilla guardians ibyiwanchu village for the cultural performance and back to the lodge for dinner

Day 3 – Bisoke Hike and cross to Uganda in the afternoon

Have breakfast early in the morning, and then your guide will transfer you the starting point where you will arrive for briefing and then later proceed with your days hike to diani fossey/hike to bisoke inside the volcanoes and the return back, on your descending, you will have something to eat and then we cross the border to Uganda for -/+2hours to the lodge

Day 4 – Golden monkey Tracking and Batwa Trail tour

Have breakfast and you will proceed to The Starting point in mgahinga national park, where you will track the rare monkey species and then in the afternoon back to the lodge  hot lunch and then if you are not so tired visit the batwa “Omumajabere community” and back to the lodge for lunch.

Day 5 – Gorilla Tracking Experience

After an EARLY Breakfast, carrying along with you packed food from the lodge, your Safaris Guide will transfer you to the Park Headquarters which is the briefing point and where you will meet your day’s Gorilla experienced guides and Gorilla Trackers.  During the briefing, you will receive instructions on how to conduct yourself while in the forest and once you locate the gorillas. After the briefing you will be allocated a gorilla family you will be tracking. Now let’s enter the jungle to search for the mountain gorillas and enjoy their life style in their real home.  The trek can take from 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on the location of mountain gorillas on that particular day. Once you have found the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes, observe them and take photos with them for only one hour before returning back to the park headquarters for your certificates. You will have an opportunity to be within meters of these great apes, sharing in their daily lives and experiencing their day-to-day activities. After tracking, you will transfer to Ishasha in queen Elizabeth.

Day 6 – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park.

Transfer from Lake Bunyonyi, you will head out and your guide will transfer you to the Medley of Wonders into the famous and popular national park  where you will have an evening game drive and a visit to some of the hidden gems around this volcanic region with crater lakes and explosions.

Day 7 – Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Cruise along Kazinga Channel

Have breakfast and then proceed to th kasenyi sector in the search for your game where you will spend -/+4hours and then later proceed to Mweya peninsula for the Boat ride and lunch, later after head to Kibale forest while passing through the banana plantation of the region as the main activitiey for the locals arriving at the lodge in time for your relaxation and dinner.

Day 8 – Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Swamp Walk

You will wake up to the sounds of the Jungle around this place anmd yur guide will transfer you to Kanyanchu the starting point where you will have breakfast and then procced to the forest in search for the chimps in their nests. After proceed with a walk to the bigodi swamp walk where you will witness a number of bird species and some different monkey species then back to the lodge

Day 9 – Transfer to Murchison Falls National park

This journey to the Land of the the Waterfalls as known to the world as the most strongest waterfalls wchich is still the boulevard for the River Nile, World’s Longest River on record and then make a stop along the way for lunc in hoima, and then proceed with your.journey arriving at the lodge with an enroute game drive.

Day 10 – Morning Game Drive & Boat Cruise to The Bottom Of The Falls

Have breakfast and then proceed to the Game viewing points in the search for your game where you will spend -/+4hours and then later proceed to paraa docking area for the Boat ride to the bottom of the falls, and then back to the lodge where we shall later again have an evening game drive as we proceed to the lodge.

Day 11 – Transfer to Entebbe Airport with Ziwa Stop

Transfer to Ziwa rhino sancturary after your breakfast and then make a stop at ziwa for the rhinos for 2 hours and then proceed with your journey arriving in kampala in time for lunch and then proceed to Entebbe Airport for your flight back home

  • Gorilla & Chimpanzee tracking is subject to availability of permits, which are limited to 8 per gorilla group per day and 6 per chimpanzee track per ½ day.
  • Any Gorilla and Chimpanzee permits required need to be paid for upfront when booking. As soon as funds clear in our account, we will go ahead and purchase.  
  • Gorilla and Chimpanzee permits cannot be held with the Uganda Wildlife Authority in advance of payment and Rwanda Development Board – they are only secured once physically paid for.
  • Gorilla and Chimpanzee permits are always 100% non-transferable and non-refundable.
  • There is a minimum age limit for gorilla tracking which is strictly 15 years.
