Day 1 – Arrival at Entebbe Airport
Upon arrival today, you will be met and greeted by our Discover Virunga Ltd Guide who will brief you about the safari and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 – Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Kibale national park is renowned for the highest primate concentration of 13 different species including the chimpanzees and over 400 bird species and unique plant species. This morning, you will have breakfast and embark on journey to Kibale forest, have lunch enroute and proceed to the lodge.

Day 3 – Chimpanzee Tracking
After an EARLY Breakfast, our Safaris Guide will transfer you to the Park Headquarters for briefing on how to conduct yourself while in the forest. After the briefing you will be divided into different small groups of six people headed by ranger guides who will then move with you into the forest to find of the chimpanzee troops.
Chimpanzees live in communities of 50-150 individuals but breakup into small parties during the day to reduce competition on food. They will then recollect in the evening to build their nest. Usually, the tracking takes about 2 to 3 hours tracking these wild creatures. You will return to the park headquarters for your certificates and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.

Day 4 – Game drive and Boat Cruise
We set out early in the morning for a game drive in the northern part of the park on the Kasenyi track in search of lions, elephants, solitary buffaloes. This is the best time for opportunities of viewing the cats in action owing to the vast population of Uganda Kobs.
In the afternoon enjoy a 2-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga channel – renowned for its high crocodile concentration and here you may spot various water birds and animals as they come down to drink and bathe.
Before night falls, your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 5 – Transfer to Bwindi Forest
This morning after your breakfast, check out from the lodge and embark on your journey to Bwindi Forest passing through the Ishasha sector to boost your chances of seeing the rare tree climbing lions that hang on the fig trees resting from the scorching sunshine waiting to pounce on their preys. You will have lunch enroute and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park in preparation for your next day exciting activity of Gorilla trekking.

Day 6 – Gorilla Tracking
After an EARLY Breakfast, along with your packed food, our Safaris Guide will transfer you to the Park Headquarters for briefing on how to conduct yourself while in the forest and once you locate the gorillas. After the briefing you will be allocated a gorilla family you will track.
The trek can take from 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on the location of mountain gorillas on that particular day.
Once you have found the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend 1hour with them. You will return to the park headquarters for your certificates and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.

Day 7 – Transfer to Entebbe
Today after breakfast, you will do a morning game drive in Uganda’s smallest national park for Zebra sightings and many other animals and later start your journey to Entebbe to connect to your outbound flight back home.
We will have lunch enroute and some picture moments at the Uganda Equator and proceed to Entebbe airport

- Gorilla and Chimpanzee permits per person as specified in the itinerary.
- Gorilla & Chimpanzee tracking is subject to availability of permits, which are limited to 8 per gorilla group per day and 6 per chimpanzee track per ½ day.
- Any Gorilla and Chimpanzee permits required need to be paid for upfront when booking. As soon as funds clear in our account, we will go ahead and purchase.
- Gorilla and Chimpanzee permits cannot be held with the Uganda Wildlife Authority in advance of payment and Rwanda Development Board – they are only secured once physically paid for.
- Gorilla and Chimpanzee permits are always 100% non-transferable and non-refundable.
- There is a minimum age limit for gorilla tracking which is strictly 15 years.
Exclusions :
- International flights and applicable airport departure taxes
- All passport and visa fees (Visa: US$ 50 per person for entry into Uganda – easily obtainable at the Airport)
- Meals not specified (including lunch and other meal stops between properties on overland sectors)
- Drinks where not stipulated in itinerary
- Items of a personal nature: fax, telephone, etc.
- Laundry in Entebbe/Kampala
- Gratuities for guide/driver/hotel staff
- Any extras and additional activities not mentioned in the itinerary
- Travel/medical insurance
- Trip cancellation, travel delay or baggage insurance.
- Charges incurred as a result of delays beyond our control.

We try to make our prices as all-inclusive as possible so that our clients do not need to reach for their wallets. Where there are overland sectors, the 4×4 Safari Vehicles and safari guide will be at the clients’ exclusive use which provides great flexibility. The guide will accompany clients on all overland sectors, assist with check-in at accommodation and share his knowledge on the flora and fauna of Uganda.
