This itinerary is short and sweet and comprises of 4 days and 3 nights in Kisoro. The focus of this trip is a visit to the endangered mountain Gorillas and Golden monkeys in the Mgahinga National Park. The trip starts from Kigali International Airport through Cyanika boarder it crosses to Uganda for the life time experiences.

 DAY 1: Pick up from Kigali Airport/Lodge to start your 4 days Gorilla safari.

Arrival of flight Kigali International Airport. You will be warmly welcomed by our Discover Virunga Ltd representative outside customs and immigration hall and then proceed to on the journey to Kisoro crossing to Uganda side. You will and be transferred to your hotel/lodge for check in, evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2:  Mgahinga National Park.

After you breakfast, you will continue in to Mgahinga Forest for briefing about Gorilla tracking experience thereafter head for Gorilla trekking. This is the most breathtaking once awhile lifetime experience activity done in the park and it is only Nyakagezi gorilla group that is tracked in this park. Gorilla tracking starts in the morning where by the trackers start from Ntebeko to track these giants. The time of tracking could be 2 hours, 4 hours or a day since it is dependent on the location of the mountain gorillas. Retire to the lodge for your lunch and relax. After noon head out for the boat on the nearby Chahafi Lake on the canoe. Learn about the lake and the people of the area around. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

DAY 2:  Mgahinga National Park Golden monkey tracking.

After an early breakfast, drive you to the park offices for briefing and grouping. Each group will be led by a ranger guide from Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) into the forest. Golden monkey trekking is not as hard compared to Gorilla or Chimpanzee tracking. The move through the forest is very adventurous, you get to have a jungle experience with beautiful sights and sound of nature. The trek is also good for bird watcher because of the many bird species in the forest.
Upon reaching the Golden monkeys, you will spend one hour capturing and viewing them, then return to your lodge. Have your meal and have the rest of your evening at leisure.

After breakfast, you will drive back to Kigali Airport for your flight out of Uganda marking the end of your 4 Day Uganda gorilla safari from Kigali.
